Moving Insurance
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!
Basic Cargo Insurance is included in your rate. It is based on the the weight of the items covered for up to $1.32 per Kg regardless of the value of the items. All claims are subject to a $250.00 deductible. if you wish to have the $250 deductible waived, you can purchase the Enhanced Cargo Insurance for $25 (click for more info..).
!!! We DO NOT cover the following: Items that we did not pack, all electronics, jewelry, antiques and items of extraordinary value.
If you would like additional coverage you could:
- Purchase a Replacement Value Protection (click for more info…)
- Check with your home/tenant insurance provider: http://www.ibabc.org
All claims have to be made within 48 hours from the completion of the move and in writing through our claim form
Work Safe BC
Small Moves Canada Inc. is registered and fully covered for workers compensation with WorkSafeBC. If you need a clearance letter, please request it directly from WorkSafeBC’s website:

Certificate of Insurance can be provided to building management companies upon request.
